Shenzhen Metro is an urban rail transit system serving Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. It is a member of the International Union of Metros (CoMET) and its first line opened on December 28, 2004, becoming the eighth city in mainland China to open a rail transit system.
As of December 2024, Shenzhen Metro has opened a total of 17 operating lines, with a total length of 595.1 kilometers and 417 stations (including tram and transfer stations), forming an urban rail network covering 9 administrative districts under the jurisdiction of Shenzhen, including Luohu District, Futian District, Nanshan District, Yantian District, Bao'an District, Longhua District, Longgang District, Pingshan District, and Guangming District.
